Geraint Davies appointed UK Director of Partnerships by RHA
RHA has named Geraint Davies as its UK Director of Partnerships. He will join the trade body in January and lead its partnership and engagement strategy by building relationships with members, industry stakeholders and trusted partners to drive collaboration and create opportunities for the sectors represented. Mr Davies is currently Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) Concession Director, Chair of the Wales Road Transport Advisory Group, and Vice-Chair of the South Wales IRTE group.
He has over 27 years' experience in the road transport and logistics sector. That includes senior positions with John Raymond Transport, Sopra Steria (FORS), and the Construction Logistics and Community Safety board. Appointment by RHA represents a return to the trade body for Mr Davies, who previously served as a member of its board of directors.
He has also previously been Chair of the Logistics UK Welsh Freight Council and sat on the UK Road Freight Council in Westminster. Speaking about the arrival of Mr Davies, RHA Managing Director Richard Smith says: "We are delighted to welcome Geraint to RHA. His industry insight, credibility and commitment to industry-wide and cross-sector collaboration will be a real asset as we continue strengthening our relationships with partners and members.
"This role is pivotal to how we deliver value and influence positive change across road transport."
Adds Mr Davies: "RHA has an essential role in bringing people and organisations together to support a safe, sustainable and successful road transport industry.
"I am looking forward to working with partners and members to create new opportunities in our industry that make a genuine difference."
