New Alexander Dennis Enviro200 & Enviro400 for Hams Travel

Alexander Dennis, a subsidiary of NFI Group Inc., a leader in propulsion-agnostic bus and coach mobility solutions, today announced that it has supplied a new Enviro200 single deck bus and a new Enviro400 double decker to English independent operator Hams Travel. The new buses replace earlier vehicles of the same type in the family business's modern fleet, which runs scheduled bus services under contract to Kent County Council, school services in East Sussex and Kent, and private hires. Passengers will enjoy upgraded interiors based on the manufacturer's latest stock specification including wood-effect flooring alongside 40 seats on the Enviro200 and 85 on the Enviro400, all trimmed in a smart moquette.

Three-point belts are provided at every fixed seat. Accessible next-stop information is provided along a radio and PA system and a digital tachograph, giving Hams Travel the flexibility to use the bus on contracts and private hires alongside service work. Managing Director Paul Ham said: "Our existing Enviro200 has been a great performer alongside our fleet of Enviro400 double deckers, and Alexander Dennis's latest available stock give us a great opportunity to upgrade our fleet while benefitting from the high residual value of the earlier vehicles."
