Celebrating fleet excellence; FORS Fleet Operator Awards debuts at annual conference

FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, is excited to announce the debut of the FORS Fleet Operator Awards, taking place alongside the eighth edition of the FORS Annual Conference on 23 October 2025 at the International Convention Centre, Birmingham. FORS is also delighted to welcome Ford as its awards sponsor. It is the first time the leading automotive manufacturer will be displaying its products and services within the conference's hugely popular exhibition zone.

The awards, a new highlight for 2025, will celebrate FORS Accredited Operators who have demonstrated exemplary levels of safety, efficiency and sustainability - the three pillars central to FORS and its mandate to promote best practice. Themed 'Future Focus: Equipping Fleets for Tomorrow', this year's conference promises a compelling agenda filled with expert insights into innovation, safety, professional development and sustainability. The awards reflect the scheme's commitment to recognising excellence and leadership in three categories - safety; through recognising initiatives that prioritise driver and road user safety.

Efficiency; celebrating operational innovations driving cost-effective fleet management, and sustainability; rewarding efforts that contribute to reducing environmental impact. The shortlist highlights outstanding projects from a diverse range of operators and innovators, including: - Fox Brothers Ltd & Hurt Plant Hire Ltd for its AI dashcam safety programme to reduce risky behaviours, collisions and claims costs.

- PumpApp Ltd for its innovative 'Fuel Without Friction' mobile refuelling service, which is streamlining fleets, cutting mileage, and delivering transparency and control. - MSG Transport for its focus on driver training and incident awareness, aiming to reduce accidents and near-misses. - AC Services Banbury for providing a comprehensive training matrix to track driver qualifications, training and compliance data.

- KeolisAmey Docklands for achieving a 100% electric fleet ahead of schedule, reducing emissions, cutting operational costs and advancing sustainable urban transport. - First Mile for pioneering FORS-accredited cargo bike operations, supporting last-mile urban deliveries. - Wilson James and its Green Fleet initiative.

Electrification of the company's van fleet combined with new charging infrastructure and an integrated sustainability approach. FORS Concession Director, Geraint Davies, said: "The launch of the FORS Fleet Operator Awards is a proud milestone. It is a chance for us to recognise the exceptional standards and innovation within the FORS community.

We hope everyone attending the conference will join us in celebrating the shortlisted operators' outstanding achievements and to be inspired by their work."

The FORS Annual Conference - sponsored by Brigade Electronics - will also feature keynote speeches, panel discussions, and a busy exhibition showcasing the latest safety and sustainability technologies.

Over 500 delegates are now registered, reflecting the growing momentum behind FORS' mission to make the UK's transport sector safer, smarter, and greener.
