Lanes blocked by lorry fire on motorway

A motorway has reopened after a lorry fire closed two lanes. Emergency services were called to the A1(M) southbound between junction 15 and junction 14, near Sawtry and Alconbury in Cambridgeshire at 04:52 BST on Tuesday. Crews from Huntingdon and Stanground used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and administered first aid to the driver for minor injuries.

Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said the was nothing in the lorry trailer at the time and the fire was accidental.
