To support increasing business through the Palletways network for pallet deliveries to residential addresses, Salvatori Logistics Ltd in Kent has invested in three new bespoke vehicles which can accommodate taller pallets. The branded Renault Citiloader 3.5 tonne vans complement Salvatori's existing fleet at its Sittingbourne operation, which is a hub dedicated to Palletways customers.  Renault modified the Citiloaders for Salvatori by increasing their internal height to 2.4m and their tail lift to 1.4m to cater for taller pallets. The company moves around 3200 pallets per week through the Palletways network and has been a member of Palletways UK for ten years.

Home deliveries now account for around 40 per cent of Salvatori's overall business. Remi Martysz, managing director, Salvatori, said: "The growth in delivering palletised goods to residential addresses has been steady and our recent investment supports that so we can continue to deliver products safely and efficiently to customers' homes. The modifications help us to deliver taller and often heavier pallets from the kerbside very effectively."

Salvatori is one of over 120 independent transport providers that are part of the Palletways UK network, belonging to Imperial, a DP World company.

They benefit from shared expertise and resources from within the group to deliver consignments of palletised freight to market faster and more cost-effectively than ever before.

The Palletways Group, renowned for its industry-leading IT developments and operational systems, comprises 450+ depots and 20 hub operations, through which it provides collection and distribution services across 24 European countries, including the UK.
