The slip road on the M6 at Leyland has been closed due to a crash - and the air ambulance called. Blog Preston understands a motorbike is involved in the crash which has closed both lanes of the Junction 28 exit slip road on the southbound side. The M6 has now been closed to allow the air ambulance to land with delays back to Junction 29 while emergency services work at the scene.
The crash took place around 6.30pm on Saturday (7 June). Initially just the slip road was shut but National Highways North West has now shut the motorway in both directions temporarily. This is to allow the air ambulance access.
Traffic England is listing the closure is likely until around 8pm on Saturday evening and there are delays of around 20 minutes in both directions. Blog Preston has contacted Lancashire Police for further information.
