EMG / Gravity Media Takes Delivery of Mercedes-Benz Actros with Mirrorcam from Rygor

Rygor Auto, part of the Rygor Group has delivered into EMG / Gravity Media, one of the world's largest broadcast technology and production companies, five new Mercedes-Benz Actros low ride 1851 tractor units servicing their Outside Broadcast operations.

The trucks which boast the latest Mercedes-Benz Mirrorcam technology, will be utilised to support the broadcast of large-scale live sport and entertainment events across the UK and worldwide, representing the start of an exciting relationship between Rygor and EMG/ Gravity Media.

Robert Mills, head of truck sales at Rygor Auto, said: "It has been a pleasure working with Justin and the team at EMG / Gravity Media this year. We have built a great working relationship, enabling us to deliver not only a quality vehicle provision, but a maintenance solution which ensures uptime of their UK fleet. The decades of experience our sales team has behind them, allows us to work with our customers on a basis where we take the time to understand what they need from their fleet management and deliver a tailored solution to achieve this.

"We were able to work with SB Components, who fitted dual height fifth wheels, A-frame suzie stowage, extended catwalks and Anderson leads on all the vehicles, ensuring they met the needs of EMG / Gravity Media," Robert added.

The vehicles will be maintained by Rygor Auto's Reading site, located on Worton Grange which relocated to the purpose-built, new location, in 2023.

Chris Baker, Rygor Auto area aftersales manager, said: "At Rygor, our aftersales teams come together to ensure the highest service levels for our customers.

Our Mercedes-Benz truck-trained technicians know these vehicles incredibly well, which is why they are best placed to maintain them. What's more, our experienced parts team on site provides genuine Mercedes-Benz parts which are designed specifically for Mercedes-Benz trucks, to keep them performing at their best. Following the opening of the site in January 2023, Rygor Reading's workshop offers 44,000 sq. ft of space, two separate truck pits and tacho facilities.

What's more, there is extensive hard standing in the workshop area, providing ample space for manoeuvrability for even the largest of trucks; creating a great working environment for our team, to maintain our customer's vehicles to the highest standards."

Justin Readings, Head of Fleet at EMG Live, said: "Rygor is a dependable and proactive commercial vehicle partner and adding them to our current service providers, offers us numerous benefits including their significant expertise and reduced operational burden which contribute to lowering our costs.

The relationship we have with the Rygor team is brilliant; they understand what we need and partner with us to ensure we get it."
