Chiltern Distribution Expands Fleet & Warehousing Infrastructure

Continuing a trend of re-investment back into the business, 2025 has seen a surge in CapEx across not only the Chiltern Distribution fleet, but also in the form of a significant expansion of the firm's warehousing facilities. Offering specialised transport solutions throughout the UK and Europe, Chiltern Distribution is an award-winning UK-based logistics provider with specialist capabilities for temperature-controlled transport and storage solutions. Working across multiple sectors, the firm has built up a reputation for excellence within the food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and general ambient goods sectors, where it has built up a strong portfolio of repeat clients.
We'll take a closer look at the firm and how exactly Chiltern Distribution has achieved such success in the space.

First looking at the service offering, where Chiltern Distribution stands out within the market is in the sheer level of professionalism that the firm brings to services and. As a business, Chiltern Distribution is passionate about delivering quality and is committed to creating a difference. Ultimately, this approach forms into a powerful culture that operates behind the scenes, with all employees of the Chiltern Distribution team being empowered to deliver excellence in everything that they do and to assume accountability for their honesty, reliability, and professionalism.
Taking a brief look at the fleet, Chiltern Distribution maintains a modern, Euro 6 fleet comprising a mixed range of vehicle archetypes, including: temperature-controlled vans, 26-tonne rigids, and 44-tonne single and multi-temp trailers. All of the firm's vehicles are equipped with advanced GPS tracking and integrated camera systems, allowing for not only real-time monitoring but improved protections against claims and security risks. Furthermore, Chiltern Distribution's fleet is approved under the DVS, enabling operations across emission-restricted zones.
Over the years, Chiltern Distribution has continually invested back into its fleet as a means of maintaining a modern operation and ensuring that it is able to safely, efficiently, and professionally transport all manner of chilled, frozen, ambient, and pharmaceutical goods. Most recently, this has included a number of new Volvo and Renault additions to the fleet along with substantial investments into the firm's warehousing infrastructure to support the firm's expanding client base. Further vehicles are also expected to be added to the fleet during the course of the year.
To learn more about the investments made into the fleet along with other key aspects of the business, we spoke with Brian Sagaseta, Managing Director of Chiltern Distribution: "We have made significant investments to support our expansion and service capabilities. The latest additions to the fleet are the 8 New Volvo FH460 Aero Trucks, 2 x new Renault T High cabs, with an additional 5 more joining the fleet between now and September.
We also have another flagship vehicle joining the fleet in September. We have continued to modernise and expand our fleet with the latest environmentally friendly vehicles. Importantly, we have recently extended our warehouse facilities, increasing our capacity by 25% to better serve our growing customer base. This expansion allows us to further support our cross-docking services and national UK groupage network, ensuring faster and more efficient distribution across the country."

From a sustainability perspective, Chiltern Distribution seemingly recognises the environmental impact of all transport operations on the environment and has been actively working and investing to try and mitigate environmental impacts wherever possible.
This is best reflected in the firm's maintenance of a wholly-Euro 6 fleet alongside vehicle tracking and monitoring systems to ensure that all drivers are conducting their duties in the most efficient manner. Notably, such efforts are not limited solely to on-the-road operations, with sources at the firm indicating that carbon reduction activities are taking place across all aspects of the business. Looking beyond the investments into its vehicles, technology, and infrastructure, Chiltern Distribution is also a known re-investor into its people as a means of supporting the aforementioned culture of empowerment.
As such, the company has been investing to both grow and enhance its operational teams to drive growth, efficiency improvements, and ultimately unlock the true potential of the firm. Most recently, this has seen the addition of Sarah Stokes, now General Manager of Chiltern Distribution, to the team, who is expected to be leading the company on an exciting journey going forward and brings a wealth of industry expertise to the management team. "We're thrilled to welcome Sarah Stokes as our new General Manager at Chiltern Distribution Ltd," explained Brian Sagaseta. "Sarah brings with her a wealth of experience in logistics, warehousing, and transport, with an impressive track record of leading large teams, delivering high service standards, and driving operational excellence.
"With over twenty years' experience in the industry, Sarah is known for her customer-first mindset, results-driven approach, and passion for developing people. Her expertise spans everything from large scale project implementation and WMS integration to financial performance and community engagement. "We're looking forward to the exciting journey ahead with Sarah leading the way."
As for the firm's ambitions for the future, Chiltern Distribution has its sights set on commercial growth as a result of the increased demand for its services amongst new and potential clients. To support this growth, the firm will be doubling down on investments into its fleet, technology, and infrastructure to drive sustainability ambitions and raise the bar on transport services. As a result, we do expect any commercial growth to be delivered in a sustainable fashion as the firm aims to preserve (and improve upon) service standards while achieving such growth.
Clarifying the firm's plans, Brian Sagaseta shared: "Over the next five years, our strategic plan focuses on sustainable growth, service innovation, and continuous improvement. We aim to further modernise our fleet with greener technology, expand our warehousing footprint, and develop our cross-docking and national groupage services to meet increasing demand. Our vision is to strengthen our market leadership in temperature-controlled and ambient distribution, foster enduring partnerships with clients across multiple sectors, and maintain our commitment to environmental stewardship and operational excellence."
As to how these growth plans flesh out, we look forward to sharing more insight in future issues and we'll report further as and when we learn more. https://www.chilterndistribution.com/
