Cambridgeshire lorry crash sees woman taken to hospital

A woman has been taken to hospital after a crash involving two lorries and a car[1] in Cambridgeshire[2]. The crash on the A1(M) northbound blocked a lane between Alconbury and Sawtry between 11.20am and 12.40pm on Tuesday (May 20). An East of England Ambulance Service[3] spokesperson said: "One ambulance and a paramedic car were sent to the A14[4] near Alconbury this morning following reports of a road traffic collision.
One woman was transported to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further assessment and care." The A14 runs next to the A1 near Huntingdon[5], before the A1 becomes the A1(M) at Alconbury. A Cambridgeshire Police[6] spokesperson said while the incident was ongoing: "We were called to a report of a collision involving two lorries and a car on the A1 at Alconbury at 11.20am today.
"An ambulance is in attendance and lane one is currently closed for recovery of the vehicles." Inrix, the traffic monitoring company, reported that all lanes reopened at 12.40pm.
