The M6 has been closed at Bamber Bridge due to a crash. Emergency services are on the scene at Junction 29. The motorway has been closed northbound with traffic diverted off and over the motorway junction with the M65 to then re-join the M6 further up.
Three cars are understood to be involved in the crash which took place around 4.30pm on Friday (4 April).

There are delays back to Junction 27 for Wigan and Standish and delays of more than an hour are being reported - despite the motorway reopening around 5.10pm as National Highways North West said the crash had been cleared to the hard shoulder. It follows earlier congestion on the M6 southbound after a lorry fire shut two lanes[9] at the M61 junction - with delays still in the area. Preston Police told Blog Preston three vehicles are involved in the crash, which took place at 4.20pm.
