DAF Celebrates 10,000th XB Distribution Truck Milestone

DAF Trucks just hit a major milestone at its Leyland facility in the UK, rolling out its 10,000th New Generation DAF XB truck. The recipient is Maxi Haulage Ltd, a haulage and logistics company based in Irvine, Scotland. The DAF XB entered production in December 2023.
Part of the New Generation DAF range, this distribution truck is designed to handle city and regional deliveries with top-tier efficiency, robust safety features and a comfortable driver experience. It comes with multiple driveline options, including fuel-efficient diesel engines and all-electric models that can go up to 350 km on a single charge. With a weight range from 7.5 to 19 tonnes GVW, the XB also offers three cab styles: Day Cab, Extended Day Cab, and Sleeper Cab.
The New Generation DAF XB is designed to be agile thanks to its tight turning circle and excellent manoeuvrability. It also comes with DAF's Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which includes Side & DAF Turn Assist, Drive-off Assist, Speed Limit Recognition and Drowsiness Detection. Maxi Haulage Ltd, which provides haulage and logistics services across the UK and Ireland, is adding the milestone XB to its fleet.
The truck will be fitted with a curtainsided body and tail-lift for palletised distribution, joining a total order of 23 vehicles from DAF.
"We are highly pleased with the DAF trucks in our fleet due to their robustness and functionality.
This is why we have chosen the DAF XB," said Andy McGuire, general manager, Maxi Haulage. "We are sure also the new trucks will perform very well."
