Oakland Distribution turbo charges fleet with 30 new Renault Trucks

Multi-Temperature Supply Chain Specialists, Oakland Distribution Limited has added thirty new Renault Trucks T480 6×2 pusher Turbo Compound tractor units to its 57-strong fleet, including a flagship vehicle to celebrate its parent company, Oakland International’s 25th Anniversary. Supplied by Renault Truck Commercials on a 3-year repair and maintenance contract, these new T480 Turbo Compounds, which replace and upgrade existing Renault Trucks vehicles, operate from Oakland International’s depots in Redditch, Corby, Bardon, and Skelmersdale. They serve nationwide chilled operations for FMCG customers and haul single–and double-decker trailers seven days a week, 365 days a year.

All thirty vehicles feature Renault Trucks’ optimised cab interior for enhanced driving and onboard comfort. They are finished in red and feature 4-point cab air suspension, memory foam mattress topper, air conditioning, leather steering wheel, heated and ventilated driver’s seat, “performance” roof console with four storage compartments and electric interior sun blind. The vehicles have also all been specified with adjustable roof deflectors and side deflectors for improved aerodynamics.
