A man has been charged following the discovery of 12kg of cannabis in a car on M6 near Chorley. Officers from the Road Crime Unit signalled for a BMW 3 series to stop as it was travelling south on the motorway on Monday 1 July, 2024. A search of the vehicle found around 12kg of cannabis [9] thought to be worth around GBP50,000.

Following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, Albion Lushaj, 31, of Cherry Tree Lane, Rainham, Greater London has been charged with possession with intent to supply cannabis.
