Drivers are fined in court for speeding in County Durham

The cases were heard at Peterlee ^[1] Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, November 7.

Bartosz Podstawa, 39, of Barberry Drive, Bridgwater, Somerset, exceeded 70 mph limit in a Kia on a dual A19 southbound April 21. Pleased guilty and fined £100, surcharge £40 costs and costs £90 - total £230 Driving record endorsed with three points.

Jake Doonan, 29, of Washington Crescent, Newton Aycliffe ^[2], exceeded 70 mph motorway limit in Alfa Romeo on A1(M) J61 Bowburn to J60 Bradbury, Durham, on April 20. Case found proved.Fined £220, surcharge £88, costs £90 - total £398. Driving record endorsed with three points.
