A WOMAN has died following a horror crash between a car, a van and a lorry.

Emergency services[1] were called to the scene on the A96 near Inverness[2] earlier today.

The crash happened between a Tesla, a Citroen Dispatch van and a HGV.

Three other people were left seriously injured in the collision.

The 51-year-old woman was traveling in the Tesla and was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness where she died.

Two men were in the car, a 53-year-old and a 23-year-old, and were also taken to Riagmore Hospital.

It has since reopened.

Police[3] are now appealing for anyone with information, who may have seen the collision to get in touch.

They are particularly keen to talk to any motorists who may have dash cam footage to speak to an officer.

Sergeant Calum MacAuley said: “Our thoughts are with the families of those impacted by this collision.

“A full investigation is under way to establish the full circumstances of how this collision occurred.

“I am appealing to anyone who was on the A96 who may have seen the vehicles or witnessed the crash to contact us.

“Motorists with dash cam equipment are asked to check their footage as there may be images which could assist our ongoing enquiries.”
