DRIVERS are facing travel chaos on a Scots motorway this evening after a multi-vehicle crash sparked huge delays.

The M74 at junction one near Polmadie[1] is shut due to a collision on the southbound carriageway.

Motorists are being directed away from joining the M74 from Glasgow[2] City Centre as emergency services[3] lock down the area.

Traffic[4] Scotland confirmed it is a multi-vehicle crash at J1-1a Polmadie (Southbound).

They advised drivers[5] to use alternative routes if possible.

The agency said there is 45 minute delay to pass through the junction.

A spokesperson for SRFS said: “Two appliances have been sent to the incident.
