‘Amazing’ young dad, 30, killed by fellow tipper driver in freak A9 crash as he stood next to vehicle…

A YOUNG dad has died in a horror crash on a notorious Scots road in the early hours of this morning.

Mercy crews[1] rushed to the scene on the A9 between North Kessock and Tore at around 1.50am.

The fatal crash happened south of the junction with the B9161 road for Munlochy and involved a Volvo Tipper and a Scania Tipper.

The driver of the Volvo was standing next to his vehicle when the freak collision happened.

He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver has now been named by police[2] as 30-year-old James Noble.


They said: “Jamie was a much-loved fiancé to Morven and an amazing dad to Daniel.

“He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.

The A9 road was closed down for around eight hours to allow collision investigators to conduct inquiries at the scene.

It was reopened again at around 10am.

Cops are appealing for anyone with information about the crash to come forward.

They are urging anyone who may have seen something, or anyone who may know something, to speak with cops.

They are particularly keen to speak with anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area from the time of the crash.

Sergeant Ewan Calder, from the Highland and Islands Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with Jamie’s family at this terrible time.

“Enquiries remain ongoing and we ask anyone who may have been travelling southbound in the area around the time of the incident and witnessed what took place, or has any dashcam footage, to please come forward.”
