Herts A1(M): Car crashes with lorry and central reservation

Emergency services attended a crash at around 2.45pm yesterday (June 2), which created a lengthy road closure on the motorway. Officers shut two lanes of the A1(M) heading northbound between junction 1 (South Mimms) and junction 3 (St Albans). According to the force, no injuries were reported from the crash, despite footage of the incident showing the car involved striking into barriers at pace.

A spokesperson for Herts Fire and Rescue Service said the team sent two appliances to the scene where crews administered first aid and made the area safe.

The road was reopened at around 4.09pm.
