A drugged-up driver who hit the central reservation on a motorway before continuing to drive on three wheels has been jailed.
Omar Makhluf, 20, was driving his Mercedes on the M1 northbound in Newport Pagnell when he collided with the central reservation and caused his car to lose a wheel to the rim.
Despite the damage to the car, he continued to drive for several miles before finally pulling over in a service station.
In his police interview, he struggled to stay awake and yawned while officers questioned him about the offence.
Makhluf also claimed he wasn't driving dangerously when initially asked by police.
He was arrested on the same day and charged on 13 August 2025.
Last week, Makhluf, of Keel Close, Barking, pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving and one count of driving whilst unfit through drugs.
Makhluf was sentenced to 22 months in total and disqualified for four years and 336 days for this offence and other driving offences elsewhere in the country.

Investigating officer, James Holmes, of the Roads Policing Unit, said: 'This incident on the M1 could easily have had far more serious consequences, and we are thankful that no one was injured.
'Makhluf has now admitted his actions in court and has been sentenced.
Dangerous driving puts lives at risk, and we remain committed to keeping our roads safe.
We encourage everyone to drive responsibly and safely.'
