M80 near Lanarkshire reopens after police incident caused delays of 90-minutes for drivers
Officers closed off a stretch of the busy motorway due to a report of concern for a person

The M80 near Lanarkshire[1] has been reopened southbound, after traffic[2] chaos this morning (Tuesday, March 3). Emergency services raced to an incident at around 2.30am.
Officers closed both northbound and southbound carriageways near Junction 7, Haggs, Falkirk. However, both have now since reopened.
Details of the incident have not been revealed, but police say they were attending a report of concern for a person.
Motorists were urged to use an alternative route.
Drivers travelling southbound from the M876 were warned of 90-minute delays.
Those travelling southbound from the M9 faced 48-minute delays.
A Police Scotland[3] spokesperson said: "The M80 has reopened between near Haggs, Falkirk, following a report of a concern for a person.

At the time, Traffic Scotland posted to X: "M80 Junction 7 CLOSED Southbound due to an ongoing police incident
