M6 live updates as all traffic stopped on motorway

There are "severe delays" on the M6 this evening following a crash. All traffic is currently held on the northbound carriageway between junction 19 at Tabley Interchange and junction 20 near the M56 following the incident. Emergency services are in attendance at the scene, according to National Highways.

Live traffic cameras at the scene show long queues forming on the northbound carriageway. Traffic monitoring site Inrix reports: "M6 Northbound blocked, severe delays due to accident between J19 A556 (Knutsford) and J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange)."
