Delays on the M6 today (March 4)
Specialist clean-up crews are working on the M6 after a lorry shed a load of offal. The incident between junctions 14 and 15 in Staffordshire saw the motorway stopped[1] for a period.
Now three lanes have been closed with the M6 barely moving. It's also had a knock-on on the A500 with queues on the two motorway approaches through Audley and Hanford.
The gridlock on the M6 earlier this morning was worsened as overnight roadworks overran between junctions 15 and 16.
While those were wrapped up as rush-hour ramped up, the situation over the shed load saw three lanes closed.

A post on X states: "Lanes one, two , and three of four are closed on the M6 north between Junction 14 and 15 as as a HGV has spilt its load of offal across the carriageway.
Traffic officers are on scene with specialist contractors en-route to begin the clean-up work at the scene."
