Kumho Kafe Truckstop Review: The Stop
We recently revisited The Hollies Truckstop in Cannock -- as the first in a new series of 'Kafe Kumho' reviews sponsored by Kumho Tyres - to see how this longstanding driver favourite has evolved -- and it's fair to say it remains one of the most respected and best-equipped facilities in the country. Located just off junction 12 of the M6 on the busy A5, The Hollies has served drivers since the 1930s. Now branded TheStop at The Hollies under the Certas Energy banner, the site has continued to enhance its facilities.
Most notably, a new concrete hardstanding has been laid across the main parking area, significantly improving drainage and surface durability for HGVs and trailers. The forecourt has also received a digital upgrade, with drivers now able to refuel using the Certas Energy FuelTap app, making diesel fill-ups quicker and fully contactless. The truck park provides over 230 bays, including 13 high-security spaces for sensitive or valuable loads, which are monitored by ANPR and frequently used by premium hauliers such as Bentley.
Accommodation remains top-notch, with clean, spacious en-suite rooms for those taking a break from the cab. Facilities like showers, laundry, and a large cafe serving hot meals are all well-maintained, with friendly staff available 24/7. The site continues to host weekend truck and car events, including last year's well-attended Ethan's Journey to Recovery Truck Show.
Overall, The Hollies blends heritage with modern convenience.
