‘Poor driving conditions’ and crashes cause tailbacks on M4
A number of incidents on the M4 caused delays on Sunday as motorists dealt with "poor driving conditions". There was heavy congestion leading to the Prince of Wales Bridge on Sunday morning following a collision on the eastbound side of the motorway near junction 23. Elsewhere, there was a collision further west between junctions 35 and 36.
Traffic Wales issued a warning to drivers along a long stretch of the M4, advising people to allow extra time for their journeys. According to Traffic Wales: "Poor driving conditions are affecting the network due to adverse weather. Please take extra care, allow additional time for your journey, and drive according to the conditions."
There has also been heavy traffic and congestion in and around Cardiff as crowds make their way into the city for the Six Nations clash between Wales and France at the Principality Stadium.
