M62 traffic live updates as motorway ‘blocked’ and miles of queues form

There are severe delays on the M62 this morning. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reported at 8.20am this morning (Thursday, February 5) that the M62 eastbound is "partially blocked" due to a broken down vehicle. This has affected traffic[1] between junction 10[2] at the Croft Interchange and junction 11 at Birchwood in Warrington[3].

Live traffic data from Google says there are around five miles of slow traffic. Traffic cameras also show queues building. We'll be bringing you all the updates on this incident via our live blog below.
