M6 live updates as car overturns on motorway
All traffic has been brought to a standstill on the M6 following a crash this evening (Friday, February 13). Emergency services are currently at the scene on the northbound carriageway between Junction 24 and Junction 25, near Wigan. The incident was first reported at around 8.30pm, with long queues quickly building in the area.
One vehicle has overturned in the crash, National Highways said. A National Highways spokesperson said: "Traffic has been stopped on the M6 northbound in Greater Manchester between J24 (Aston In Makerfield) and J25 (Wigan) due to a collision involving an overturned car. All emergency services are in attendance.
