M4 closed in Wiltshire because of ‘loose animals’
The incident has caused delays on the A350 northbound, approaching junction 17 of the M4 at Chippenham, with traffic queuing because drivers have been unable to access the westbound slip road. The slip road to access the M4 towards Bath, Bristol and Wales was closed at around 4.30pm on Friday, February 13, due to animals being on the westbound carriageway, according to traffic monitoring services. At the time of writing, the AA warned that this was still causing delays on the A350, while National Highways was reporting that the slip road remained closed.
