Emergency services are in attendance and traffic has been held while the incident is managed. "Greater Manchester Police are leading the response and will be carrying out collision investigation work at the scene. Due to the layout of Junction 1, which does not provide a suitable southbound exit slip, the closure is being implemented at the A56 Edenfield junction to safely manage traffic."
