Live M6 traffic updates as crash sees motorway grind to a halt

The M6 has been brought to a standstill following a crash today. Three lanes have been blocked on the motorway after the incident occurred this afternoon (Tuesday, February 10). According to reports, the crash took place between junction 20, near the Lymm Interchange and junction 21, near Manchester Road, Woolston.

CCTV footage of the motorway shows heavy traffic building northbound on the Thelwall Viaduct. The crash was first reported shortly after 4pm. Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "Three lanes blocked and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Thelwall Viaduct Northbound between J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange) and J21 A57 Manchester Road (Woolston)."
