A man has sadly died three weeks after a crash on the M180[1]. It follows an incident involving a car that was being driven on the westbound side of the motorway on Tuesday, December 23.

Humberside Police[2] say that, at around 10.25am, a white Mercedes was travelling between junction one and two when "for reasons not yet clear" it left the carriageway and collided into an embankment[3]. When emergency services attended, the driver, an 86-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.

He tragically died on Wednesday, January 14, police say.

A police spokesperson added: "His family have been informed and are being supported by specially-trained officers. They have also requested their privacy at this difficult time.
