M4 speed camera: man fined £100 for driving at 58mph
Keith Whiter, of Ducklington in Oxfordshire, was travelling at junction 42 at Port Talbot in Wales when he was clocked at 58mph. The 65-year-old, of Fritillary Mews, Ducklington, was on the eastbound carriageway in a Vauxhall Insignia at the time of the incident on June 22 last year. Whiter's case was heard at Swansea Magistrates' Court on January 13.
The court heard how there had been a 50mph speed restriction in place at the time. He was ordered to pay a fine of GBP100 and a victim surcharge of GBP40. This must be paid in full by February 10.
He also received three penalty points and was banned from the road for six months.
