M27 closure recap: Motorway near Portsmouth reopens after ‘serious incident’ required air ambulance

Westbound carriageway reopens

The M27 is closed eastbound between J11 (Southampton) and J12 (Portsmouth) following a police-led incident, however the westbound carriageway is now open, National Highways said.

"Police remain on scene and are in the final stages of their investigation before the eastbound carriageway can be reopened safely," National Highway South-East said in a post on X.
