Historic Freeport, Maine, Inn Hosting 80’s Themed Ice Bar Event

In January and February throughout Maine [1], you really have two choices on how to survive winter. You can hide and hibernate until signs of spring arrive. Or you could deal with the cold and try to have fun with it.

However, every now and then, there's an event that takes place in the state that gives you the best of both options. And one of those events is set to arrive at the historic Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine [2], this February.

Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine, Announces 'Freeze Frame' Ice Bar Event

On Friday, February 6 and Saturday, February 7, the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport is rolling back a few decades for some fun.

They've announced an 80's themed ice bar event called 'Freeze Frame' that will take place both outdoors and indoors on the historic property. Guests who plan to attend are encouraged to dress up like the ice bar is a classic apres-ski party directly from the 80's with faux fur, metallics and anything else you may have had hanging in your closet for the last 40 years.

Harraseeket Inn Ice Bar Will Feature Signature Cocktails, Live Entertainment and More

Both nights of the 'Freeze Frame' ice bar event at the Harraseeket Inn will be unique.

The outdoor portion of the event will feature an ice bar offering signature craft cocktails served alongside beautiful ice sculptures. Inside the Harraseeket, there will live entertainment paired with some grazing tables to feast on as well as an additional bar to keep the party going. On Friday night, there will be a live DJ taking you back to the 80's and on Saturday night, the band Plush plugs in and plays the night away.
