Tragedy as body of man, 24, found on M4 motorway

A man's body was discovered on a slip-road of the M4 motorway in south Wales, police have confirmed.
Police received reports of a man in distress on a footbridge near Junction 36 shortly before 9:30pm. Upon officers arrival the body of the 24-year-old was located on the slip road nearby.
South Wales Ambulance Service attended the scene along with police and CSI and unsuccessfully attempted resuscitation on the man.
The man has been identified as a 24-year-old man from Litchard, Bridgend with his family confirming his identity. The family are receiving support, Wales Online reports.[1]
The motorway was closed for several hours as emergency services dealt with the tragic incident.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Officers were called to the M4 footbridge near Junction 36 shortly before 9:30pm on Saturday December 6 following a report of a man in distress.
"The body of a man was located on the slip road nearby upon emergency services arrival.
Ambulance unsuccessfully attempted resuscitation.
"The motorway was briefly closed in both directions to allow for police and CSI attendance. The man has been identified as a 24-year-old man from Litchard, Bridgend. His family are aware and have confirmed ID, and are being supported."
