M62 Westbound traffic update after lane closed at Brighouse

It has been reported that traffic is slow on the M62 Westbound from J25 A644 Wakefield Road (Brighouse) to J24 A629 (Ainley Top) following an earlier lane closure. Traffic is said to be moving slowly with speeds of 36mph. The lane closure was due to a reported crash around 3pm on Boxing Day.

Normal traffic conditions are expected to resume between 4.15pm and 4.30pm.

All lanes have since re-opened.

In a statement, Yorkshire Air Ambulance said of the crash: "We despatched one ambulance to the scene, however no patients required conveyance to hospital."
