LIVE M60 traffic updates as delays reported following crash near Trafford Centre

There are long tailbacks[1] on the M60[2] this afternoon following a crash near the Trafford Centre[3]. One lane is closed on the anticlockwise motorway between junctions 11 and 10. With the roads already busy with shoppers heading to the Trafford Centre, it's leading to delays of up to 30 minutes and five mile queues.

Traffic England maps show stationary vehicles all the way back to junction 15 for the M61. Traffic monitoring service Inrix reports: "Long delays and one lane closed due to accident on M60 anticlockwise from J11 A57 Liverpool Road (Barton) to J10 (Trafford Centre). Congestion to J15 (Swinton Interchange).

Travel time is around 30 minutes." Yesterday afternoon Trafford Centre shoppers reported waiting hours to leave gridlocked car parks[4] at amid the busy post-Christmas rush. Long delays and queues reported to the nearby M60[5] junction.
