A vehicle fire near the M48 Severn Bridge brought motorway traffic[1] to a standstill this morning (Tuesday, December 23). The incident happened on the westbound carriageway between J1 (Aust) and J2 (Chepstow). Traffic monitoring site Inrix said traffic was stopped at around 6.15am, reporting: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to vehicle fire."
