Emergency services descended on the M53 this morning after a crash. Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, between junction three and four of the M53 in Storeton on Saturday November 22.
The fire service[1] was alerted[2] at 10.49am and arrived four minutes later with two fire engines and the search and rescue team. When they arrived, they found it was a crash[3] involving two cars.
The sole occupant of one vehicle was able to leave the car unaided and was assessed by North West Ambulance Service (NWAS).
NWAS[4] paramedics then took the person to hospital for further observations. The slip road from the roundabout leading to Wallasey[5] and Liverpool[6] was closed off by police.

Fire crew left the scene at 11.30am.
The slip road has now re-opened.
