M2 coastbound partially blocked between Strood and Rochester after crash
Queues are building on the M2 following reports of a crash which shut three lanes and has left "a car on its roof". The coastbound carriageway is partially blocked after the incident, which took place on the exit slip road for A228 Sundridge Hill and the Strood/Rochester turn-off at J2.
Traffic monitoring system Inrix reports there is congestion back to J1 for Strood, with fire crews and paramedics on scene. One observer told KentOnline: "It looks pretty bad, to be honest - the car was on its roof.
"Another car was being towed away, though it didn't take too long to get through."
It is also having a knock-on effect on the coastbound A2 Watling Street to the Henhurst turn-off.
