M1 crash near J25 caused heavy traffic after multi-vehicle collision

A crash on the M1 led to one lane of four being closed, with heavy congestion previously reported near East Midlands Airport. The crash was first reported on the M1 Northbound at J25 A52 Brian Clough Way. The crash had caused significant congestion at J24 of the M1, as well as congestion on the slip road of J25.

While traffic on the northbound carriageway was slow, the southbound carriageway didn't appear to be slowed by the collision.

All lanes have reopened following the incident.
