Live: Motorway crash as ‘strong winds’ batter South West
There are traffic delays into Bristol after a crash on the M4 Prince of Wales Bridge. Vehicles are moving slowly in the eastbound direction between junctions 23 and 22 on the M4 following a collision. Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Slow traffic due to accident on M4 Prince of Wales Bridge Eastbound from J23 M48 to J22 M49."
According to Inrix, there may also be delays on the M48 Severn Bridge, which has restrictions in place due to strong wind speeds. Inrix reports: "Strong winds and restrictions on M48 Severn Bridge in both directions between J2 A466 Wye Valley Link Road (Chepstow) and J1 A403 (Aust). "Everyone comes off, Eastbound at J2 or Westbound at J1, around the roundabouts and back on to cross the bridge, which remains open.
This is the usual restriction in case the bridge needs to be closed quickly if crosswinds get worse."
