CWIEME Berlin will introduce a new Electric Motor Forum at its 2026 exhibition, creating a dedicated hub for companies involved in electric motor manufacturing. Although centred on motor applications, the initiative reflects broader trends shaping the wider electromechanical supply chain, including materials, component standards, insulation technologies, and testing requirements shared across both motor and transformer production. The Electric Motor Forum will group exhibitors and technical content relating to magnets, insulating materials, resins, slot paper, coil winding machinery, and powertrain-associated components.

This mirrors the approach taken in 2025 with the Transformer Hub in Hall 27, which organised transformer-relevant exhibitors into a dedicated cluster. The success of that format has encouraged similar zoning in adjacent sectors with overlapping technologies. According to organisers, the forum will host interactive technical sessions on supply-chain stability, sustainable materials, automation, and electrification in manufacturing.

With electrical steel, insulation systems, and casting technologies influencing both transformer and motor markets, shared discussion formats are expected to provide a forum for cross-industry viewpoints. Confirmed strategic partners include JL Mag, Hubers, and Elantas. Their technologies - magnets, resin systems, and insulation materials - are also widely used across transformer manufacturing.

The Electric Motor Forum is about rebuilding that sense of family across the industry," said Melissa Magestro, Portfolio Director at CWIEME. "We are creating a space where the entire supply chain can come together, share experiences and shape the future of electric motor innovation in Europe. It is not just about showcasing products -- it is about connecting people and driving meaningful conversation." Although the forum centres on electric motor applications, several themes - such as material supply, manufacturing capacity, and component performance - are increasingly shared across multiple electrical industries as demand continues to grow.
