Logistics UK, one of the UK's biggest business groups and only trade association representing the whole logistics industry, is strengthening its experience and influence in engineering policy with the appointment of Arthur Gribbin as its new Engineering Policy Lead.  Gribbin joins from Ofgem where he was Policy Manager and has over 30 years of engineering experience, including more than a decade working at Volvo Group.  As Engineering Policy Lead, Gribbin will be responsible for identifying opportunities to support innovation and regulatory alignment, building strong relationships across the sector, and helping address the unique challenges faced by Logistics UK members.

"Logistics UK has a pivotal position in the sector," said Gribbin, "and its commitment to innovation, sustainability and industry collaboration aligns with my values and experience. I am excited to be joining the organisation and keen to leverage my technical and policy experience to help enhance operational resilience and support the transition to low-carbon technologies."  Commenting on Gribbin's appointment, Michelle Gardner, Deputy Director of Policy at Logistics UK said, "Engineering is a critical area for our members and Arthur's experience will be invaluable, whether it is advising on vehicle legislation, vehicle safety standards or vehicle innovation.

We are delighted to welcome him to the team."  Logistics UK is one of the UK's biggest business groups, representing logistics businesses which are vital to keeping the UK trading, and more than seven million people directly employed in the making, selling and moving of goods. With decarbonisation, new technology and other disruptive forces driving change in the way goods move across borders and through the supply chain, logistics has never been more important to UK plc.

Logistics UK supports, shapes and stands up for safe and efficient logistics, and is the only business group which represents the whole industry, with members from the road, rail, water and air industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers whose businesses depend on the efficient movement of goods.
