Stark Future launches the VARG SM – the world’s most powerful electric Supermoto – thepack.news

Stark Future has pulled the covers off its latest creation: the Stark VARG SM, a road-legal electric Supermoto designed to blend motocross toughness with street-ready agility. Building on the success of the Stark VARG MX and their street-legal enduro EX, the SM brings Stark's high-performance DNA to the asphalt, combining brutal power, precision engineering, and sustainable technology.
Power-to-weight like no other
Weighing just 124.5 kg (274.5 lbs) and producing up to 80 hp, the VARG SM claims the highest power-to-weight ratio of any production Supermoto. With a staggering 914 Nm of torque at the rear wheel, acceleration is immediate, smooth, and endlessly adjustable.
Riders can fine-tune power delivery, engine-braking, and regeneration to suit any environment--whether commuting in the city, carving up kart tracks, or hitting tight mountain roads.
Battery & charging
At the heart of the VARG SM sits a 7.2 kWh honeycomb magnesium battery that doubles as a structural chassis component for extra rigidity. Range figures are:
- 183 km (113 miles) urban
 - 118 km (73 miles) suburban
 - 81 km (50 miles) WMTC real-world riding

Recharging takes under two hours using Stark's compact 3.3 kW portable charger, which fits in a backpack and plugs into any household socket or AC car charger.
The carbon-fiber-sleeved motor with integrated inverter is lightweight, efficient, and validated to full automotive standards after the punishing tests of motocross.
Chassis & suspension
The VARG SM's high-strength steel frame is paired with a forged aluminum subframe and precision-machined triple clamps for the ideal balance of stiffness and flex. Suspension comes from KYB, with:
- 48 mm closed-cartridge forks (290 mm stroke, fully adjustable)
 - triple-adjuster rear shock (303 mm travel)

Braking is handled by Brembo 4-piston monoblock calipers with a 320 mm floating disc up front, while the rear uses a 220 mm hydraulic disc.
CNC hubs, aero-grade rims, and premium tires complete the package.
Cockpit & connectivity
The VARG SM features one of Stark's cleanest cockpits yet:
- Internally routed wiring
 - CNC-machined aluminum map switch
 - Arkenstone Android-based display - waterproof, shock-resistant, and mounted on the bars, offering GPS, real-time ride data, OTA updates, and full ride-mode tuning.

Riders can instantly switch between commuter, stunt, and track modes, customizing power curves and braking profiles.
Road-ready & rider-focused
Unlike many high-performance bikes, the VARG SM is built with everyday usability in mind.
It is fully road-legal in Europe, the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand.
In some Southern European countries, riders can even use it with a car license.
Practical features include:
- Crawl Mode with reverse gear for tight maneuvering
 - Digital security layers
 - Optional handlebar-mounted handbrake for stunt or track use
 - Flexible indicators made from durable optical silicone
 - 4,000-lumen headlamp - three times brighter than competitors
 - Integrated license-plate holder for a clean design

Maintenance is minimal, with no oil changes, filters, or valve adjustments required.
