Solent Freeport to hold open online AGM for community input

The AGM will take place online on Wednesday, November 5, from 4pm to 5pm and will offer attendees the chance to hear updates and ask questions. Brian Johnson, chair of Solent Freeport, said: "I encourage all those with an interest in the Solent's economy to attend our AGM to find out more about how we fit into the future prosperity for the region. "It is hugely important that we take account of the views of the communities that are part of the Freeport.

"Our ethos is one of complete honesty, openness and transparency as we seek not only to inform but involve stakeholders in our work." The meeting will cover the annual report, a finance update, and progress at the freeport's tax sites, with time allocated for audience questions.

This year, Solent Freeport invested ?4.8 million from its Seed Capital fund into Portico Shipping, supported by a ?2.23 million loan from Portsmouth City Council.
