Smash between BMW and lorry prompts M20 gridlock

A crash between a BMW and a lorry prompted gridlock on a motorway thie evening. The accident unfolded on the M20 westbound between Junction 11 of the A20, for Hythe, and Junction 10 of the A2070, for Ashford South.

Police and highways officers were called to the scene. All traffic was temporarily held for around 15 minutes following the crash, which happened just before 5pm.

Traffic conditions returned to normal at around 8pm.
