Severe delays as two-lorry crash sparks M25 lane closures in south Essex

Clockwise lanes between junction 27 and junction 29 near Brentwood are currently closed as a result of the crash. Drivers are facing significant delays, with queues stretching back along the M25 into south Essex.

An update from Essex County Council's traffic control centre states: "M25 Clockwise - Collision involving two lorries between J27 (M11) and J29 (A12 Brook Street) lane 4 of 4 has been opened but lanes 1-3 remain closed."

Earlier, all lanes were shut, with drivers facing severe delays.

The incident was first reported earlier this morning, and the disruption is ongoing.
