Rabla programme revised with RON 45 million shifted from electric to hybrid and petrol cars
Romania's Environment Fund Administration (AFM) has announced a 45 million RON increase to the budget for purchasing new combustion and hybrid vehicles under the Rabla Auto 2025 programme. The additional funds come from a reduction in the budget previously allocated to electric cars, reflecting higher public demand for conventional and hybrid models.
Individuals will be able to register in the online platform starting Thursday, 6 November, at 10:00 a.m., until 15 December 2025, or until the funds are exhausted. Applications for electric vehicles remain open within the limits of the remaining budget.
"We want to give another chance to those who couldn't register in the first stage.
Part of the unused funds for electric vehicles, as well as unfinalised allocations, will now support new registrations.
45 million RON will be transferred to the classic component of the programme -- for petrol and hybrid vehicles -- allowing more Romanians to benefit from financial aid for purchasing a less-polluting new car," said Florin Banica, President of the Environment Fund Administration.
The total budget for the Rabla Auto 2025 programme for individuals was 200 million RON.
Funds for combustion and hybrid vehicles were depleted in just 13 minutes after launch on 30 September, highlighting the strong interest in such models.
