Police update on crash involving lorry and mobility scooter in Hull

Road closures were put in place at the junction of Anlaby Road and Park Street on Tuesday afternoon

A woman riding a mobility scooter was "seriously injured" in a crash involving a lorry in Hull. The incident happened at the junction of Park Street and Anlaby Road[1] at around 3.15pm on Tuesday (October 7).

Road closures were put in place[2] with drivers urged to avoid the area at the time.

Updating on the incident today, a Humberside Police[3] spokesperson said "the rider of the mobility scooter - a 54-year-old woman - was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not thought to be life changing at this time".

They added: "During the incident the road was closed to allow emergency services to work effectively, the road was subsequently reopened later in the evening."
