Police appeal over fail-to-stop crash near Lymm M6 junction
The incident occurred on Friday afternoon near to a major motorway roundabout junction in Warrington. Cheshire Police has confirmed that officers were called to the scene of the road traffic collision near to Lymm services, at junction 20 of the M6, at around 4.50pm. It is reported that a crash occurred between a silver Mini Cooper and a black car, believed to be a Ford Fiesta.
It is also reported that the driver of the suspected Ford failed to stop at the scene, claiming that they were going to park up and return, which they did not. A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "At 4.50pm on Friday, October 10, police were called to reports of a minor collision near to Lymm service station. "The caller reported that an unknown vehicle had collided with a silver Mini Cooper.
The driver of the unknown vehicle failed to stop at the scene.
"There were no reports of any serious injuries, although the driver was advised to attend hospital for a minor hand injury.
"Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police, quoting IML 2192366."
